Your local independent Church - just a mile away from Burrington Combe, where a cleft in a rock is said to have inspired the famous hymn "Rock of Ages".
We are local Christians who are not ashamed of the Lord Jesus Christ or the Bible - we believe it is God's word and so it is important to us.
We give a warm and friendly welcome to visitors and are always happy to see new faces.
We are not some weird sect or cult. We believe the historic truths of Christianity and we have been established since 1846. You can view or download a pdf file of our history booklet, "A Brief History of Langford Chapel" by left-clicking here. (We're sorry that the printed version is out of print but hope to republish it soon.)
Respected local people from all backgrounds have been and are church members and we have friendly contact with many other churches and Christian organisations.
You can find out more on our About us and our friends page which has some useful links.
You can help us . . .
We try to keep our website up-to-date but sometimes external links get broken through circumstances beyond our control. If you see a problem or you have a comment, please use the form on our Contact Us page. Thanks!
Lower Langford is just off the A38, three miles South of Bristol Airport. Turn down the lane called Blackmoor opposite the Tog Store; the Church is about 100 yards down on the left. For Satnav you can use BS40 5HJ (not for HGV and please not for mail - we have no mail receiving facility at the Church).
